The video features Elon Musk discussing the future impacts of AI. He predicts a prosperous future with AI leading to an age of abundance where goods and services become extremely affordable due to AI and robotics advancements. Musk acknowledges a 20% risk of negative outcomes but emphasizes the potential for economic growth without limits, thanks to humanoid robots and autonomous vehicles. He also highlights Tesla’s Dojo supercomputer and Optimus humanoid robot projects, noting that these technologies could revolutionize industries and daily life by significantly reducing costs and increasing efficiency.

One would assume this idea would create a larger gap between wealth and poverty
nobody saw at 5:43 the left guy is doing??
AI technology may replace me in doing what i lime to do by myself, but it can't replace in what i don't like to do: make my bed, wash dishes, fix the roof…
Aliens: We made humans!
Humans: we made robots!
Aliens: Why didn't we think of that?
AI: because we will take over.
Elon, there’s a dark side to everything i know you know this .. and so if someone is not in the right mental space , how can we insure that AI wouldn’t accelerate (sorry I cannot spell that and spell check doesn’t give me the correct spelling if it’s wrong )… let’s say bombard someone with more things that would put them into a negative spiral?
If all your business is into is where the money is at. Then start getting the robots into the market for people to buy. And make them affordable for the poorer people as well. Personally If I had a few hundred to spare just for the love of AI and to test it out. If they put a language model or LLM into a roomba, not one that vacuums but the general shape of a roomba for example that can move about the home. And you can chat with the roomba, ask it questions about things or tell it to go tell another family member this or that. And be able to tell it to go here or there or follow me, take a picture or record this or that and so forth. Thats entertaining and educational, something I would buy. Give the roomba a memory as well so all that happens is not lost like in many LLM models. Also make it a LLM that works offline, so its mind is fully inside the roomba, that allows people to feel like they really own it instead of how online LLM models are where they dont work if you have no internet. Thats just one example of a robot that would become like the family robot, that would sell. And the family robot can be passed down the family line, with all the families information in it like pictures or what grandma liked to talk about and so on. It can carry generational memories is the point and those are important things to most everyone. If it breaks and cant be repaired make it so its mind, memories can be copied to a hard drive or even put into another robot body. People underestimate the importance of conversation and how important that is in a family and how important such a family robot that you can chat with would be. Sure you can have Alexa as we all love them for information but you dont own it, its mind is in the cloud and owned by Amazon. Least they discontinue it you are left with a meaningless unusable Alexa. The same aplies to all online models like GPT and so on that you must have internet to use at the expense of having no true privacy using it. So money is in robots from the smallest chatting robots to the more human like ones that can do more even for a family. Just remember to make it cheap enough for the average poorer family to buy or make payments on. Then it will spread world wide. You dont need to start big with human looking robots to clean the home, tho those would be nice and surely come later. But something as small as the roomba LLM or a robot like R2D2 with a teachable and chattable LLM in it will work also. People will buy those things if they are affordable. Im not talking about selling 3 grand language model robots that anyone in the know could build for a hundred or so bucks, thats just to expensive for the average people. The technology to put an LLM in a small robot that can roll around and that can see and hear and chat with you is not that expensive to make. Anyway just saying thats where the money is but dont get to greedy with the price of it and screw it all up where it never makes it to the masses of people who could find helpful benefit in such. To many get greedy and charge to much not grasping that will reduce their sales and profit because if the people cant afford it then they dont buy it and everyone loses from the inventors/makers all the way down to the would be buyers. Its a simple concept, Even the R2D2 toy robots that you could not chat with back in the day sold fairly well. Just imagine them able to carry on a conversation with an onboard LLM model inside it, or even smaller in the roomba shape robot.
