  1. Nobody in power will ever go for it but putting people out of work should be a good thing! Given how much productivity has increased combined with humans being replaced in many areas, we should all be having maximum 3 day work weeks, probably less, for the same pay as always. Jobs that require the same human to perform tasks for many consecutive days (oil rigs, meltdown welding, teaching, even coding where the company is prioritizing consistency) should be ludicrously overpaid because working well under half the time should be the standard. Look at how much work we can remove the need for people to do! Now all those people should be splitting the work that someone else is doing, lightening everyone's load…

  2. When I write a paper, I tend to use chatGPT to do some clean up then I proof read it. OR in the case of a dnd game last week, I fed it all the information and had it write a letter to a king. I COULD NOT be bothered to sit and write in an unfamiliar and useless manner.

  3. The quality of the model you choose plays a huge part. I threw the email at GPT-4 (_not_ 4o) and this was its answer:

It looks like Eddy’s message is a bit playful and contains a hidden message. If you look at the words in capital letters, you get “HELP ME I'VE BEEN KIDNAPPED POINTED AT MY HEAD IF I ESCAPE.” This suggests Eddy is communicating a distress message humorously or hypothetically, perhaps as an inside joke or to make a point about feeling overwhelmed or trapped in a situation, albeit not literally kidnapped. This kind of message could be Eddy’s way of expressing stress or using hyperbole to add some humor to the communication.

  4. if AI replace uber drivers they wont be out of job, uber is pretty recent, there were jobs before and there will be jobs now. When computers appeared there were also people saying that the computer would rob our jobs… AI will be the same…
