This video showcases an advanced, AI-powered gate system for a smart home, integrating high-tech security with convenience. The system features a custom intercom with two-way audio, a video camera linked to a smartphone, and a keypad. It employs number plate recognition and facial recognition for automated gate access. The entire system runs on Ubiquiti’s UniFi software, utilizing a Dream Machine Pro Max and a PoE switch to manage network, security cameras, and access control.

System Components and Functionality

The gate system includes a NICE controller for gate operation and a Ubiquiti U7 outdoor Wi-Fi 7 access point for strong connectivity. The software allows users to assign PIN codes, register license plates, and enable facial recognition for various users, including delivery services like Amazon. The system also integrates with UniFi Protect, Ubiquiti’s camera system, to enhance security with AI-driven detection of known faces and vehicles.

Enhanced Security and Convenience

The AI-powered features enable the system to automatically open the gates for recognized vehicles or individuals, while also providing notifications and logs of gate activity. This setup significantly enhances security by allowing only authorized access and preventing unauthorized exits. The creator expresses high satisfaction with the system’s reliability and seamless integration, emphasizing its potential to revolutionize home security and access control.

  1. WTF would you use a "cloud" product for your security..?
how u gonna open ur gates big boy… if the criminals CUT the internet connections….
how u gonna get the alarm?
DO NOT buy Ubiqu* crap…., they will bury you under licenses fees each month… DROP priucts tehy no longer want to support
and insist their kit ONLY works with their other kit.

They could have built a superb solid product line for standalone security , with an OPTION for cloud… but NOPE
it ALL needs cloud access, and it ALL stops working when your network connection goes down…. (think storm, outages etc…)
