Humans rule Earth without competition. But we are about to create something that may change that: our last invention, the most powerful tool, weapon, or maybe even entity: Artificial Super intelligence. This sounds like science fiction, so let’s start at the beginning.
You know… If ai actually managed to solve world hunger crime pollution ect. What would actually happen? I mean if it's rumoured that big oil suppressed electric and it's possible that long term established cancer research centres and chemotherapy institutions may not actually want the answers so suddenly (not enough time to re-establish/monetize the situation) how would the power imbalance of geopolitics around the world react? Suddenly no body is struggling at all so there would be no scale of first and 3rd world countries. Would those in power really want ai to solve all the world's problems? Would the military industrial complex wage war against world peace? How could such a powerful worldwide industry handle becoming obsolete? At least in this thought experiment within 2-3 years?
I would like to have this videos as a podcast episode on Spotify
as long as you let it have less possibilities, its controllable, that is if even YOU can control yourself from complex emotions.
The more possibilities, the more it grows. and as such, many endings are possible.
it is merely a battle of choices
Need A.I. to make me a light speed engine before I die
I just realized how ridiculous it sounds to think ai could take over the world, it can only do what it's given and has to solve problems to think and more. They don't have morals or anything, why would it want or need to take over the world, why would it think "this human is treating me bad I should kill him" that's just impossible because it's just not given to them. Even if they did have a glitch or a piece of code got deleted they wouldn't become evil or something, they'd just not work right. They only way the could take over the world is if they were programmed to think like a human and have morals
AI can't grow. It has to be made. One wonders if that was the plan all along.
