  1. Using this commercial for a Marketing paper. Below is the paragraph that I wrote…

    In this more recent Starbucks commercial (Starbucks: It Starts With You) the advertisers take a visually artistic approach to hit multiple demographics by showing different drinks being made from the barista’s point of view. With no words being spoken, save for the song being played, the point of view switches to the different customers enjoying their beverage in the different ways that the multiple demographics might do so. This heavily edited commercial ends with the words “IT STARTS WITH YOU”. Starbucks, knowing that the products that they serve are not necessary to sustain human life, although some might strongly argue this claim, pushes (Maslow's) Self-Actualization to vaguely make the claim that through consuming whatever the viewers favorite drink is “IT” will start with you. What this “IT” is is not made explicitely clear, however once can assume, as the advertisement makes the attempt to capture multiple demographis, “IT” can mean multiple things as well
